Trouble Shooting

Not everyone takes the time to troubleshoot a problem properly. But being able to troubleshoot problems with your wash system – either before they happen or while they are still minor – can simplify your life by saving you time and money.

Here are a few of the most common pressure washer problems and how to troubleshoot them:

Low Pressure from Nozzle. Make sure there’s enough water coming into the washer. Then, check for restricted hoses, filters, and inlet water screen. Be sure all fittings are tight, that the nozzle is clean, and that you’re not too far away from the water source.
Poor Detergent Flow. First, be sure that you’ve got ample detergent supply and that the detergent screen isn’t clogged. Then, check the detergent injector valve and make sure it’s opening properly.
The Engine Won’t Start. Check the spark plugs first and make sure the wire that connects them is not loose. If it still won’t start, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel doesn’t contain dirt or debris that might be blocking flow.
