Fishing season is here.  Are you ready?  The first thing you need to do is make sure your boat is clean and ready to go.  Cleaning a boat can be difficult.  There are many hard to reach places, and you will need to use a lot of elbow grease to properly clean it.  Using a pressure washer can make a hard job easy.  Here are a couple of tips:

• Remove any loose equipment and cushions-the power of a pressure washer could ruin these.
• Be careful of any decals-a pressure washer could remove these
• Use a detergent specifically for boats
• Apply soap from the bottom up to prevent streaking/let stand 5-10 minutes.  Do not let dry.
• Scrub any areas that have heavy accumulations of algae or other material
• Rinse from the top down, do not get to close to the surface to prevent damage.
• Let dry for a couple of days then apply boat wax
